Street Named After Saint George
In February 2002, the Mayor of Paris, Bertrand Delanoë renamed a street in the memory of Saint-Georges—Rue Chevalier de Saint George.

This renaming effort benefitted from the intense lobbying by the association “le Concert de Mr de St George” led by Alain Guédé, who as a journalist in the main french satirical newspaper “the canard enchainé ” has many political contacts. His very active action with the Paris Hotel-de-Ville and The mayor Mr Delanoe, was essential. Also our lobbying with all the commerces and hotels in this street.
